Develops foundational English language skills for academic and professional use. Covers grammar comprehension vocabulary essay writing and oral communication techniques.

Introduces the fundamentals of computer systems. Covers computer hardware software data representation input output devices and basic computing applications for building technology practice.

Introduces CAD software for building technology. Covers interface navigation 2D drawing commands editing dimensioning and production of basic architectural and engineering drawings using CAD tools.

Covers practical woodworking skills for building technology. Includes identification of timber types use of hand and power tools joinery techniques and production of basic timber building components.

Introduces measurement of building works for quantity surveying. Covers principles of measurement taking off dimensions billing quantities and use of standard method of measurement for building elements.
